Please note the current travel warnings of the Austrian government and the associated travel restrictions:
Due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), travel warnings apply to almost ALL countries in the world!
The only exceptions are Australia, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea and the Vatican. We strongly advise against all unnecessary travel to these countries.
Existing travel warnings and partial travel warnings (security levels 5 and 6) that have been issued due to the current security situation (e.g. wars, civil wars, armed conflicts) remain unaffected and continue to apply to all trips without exception.
Please also note the current entry regulations to Austria!
There is currently a high travel warning for Austria across Europe (security level 6 - red light)!
From Friday, January 15th, 2021, an electronic registration will be mandatory before entering Austria!
The following data must be provided: name, date of birth, e-mail address, residential or residence address, date of entry, possible date of departure, as well as the countries of residence for the last ten days.
If you enter Austria from abroad*, you are generally obliged to quarantine for 10 days after entry! A molecular biological or antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 can be carried out on the 5th day after entry at the earliest - the entry day is considered day 0. If the result is negative, the quarantine can be ended early.
(* Exceptions: Australia • Finland • Ireland • Iceland • Japan • New Zealand • Norway • South Korea • Uruguay • Vatican)
